Basically, swipe your card and push the door open. If you do not have access for this room/time combination the red light will come on for 1 second. If the red light only comes on for only 1/3 of a second, then the reader could not read your card. Please try again a few more times. If the problem persists you will need to register a different card.

If the ARMED (yellow) light is on, the door is not allowed to be held open. If the door is held open for longer than 10 seconds a buzzer will sound to remind you to close the door. Staff and tutors may disable this function by swiping their card while the door is open. The system will then re-arm when the door is closed.
